stutors.co.uk and Stutors is the registered website and trade name of Stutors Ltd.

Please read these Terms of Service completely which sets out the Terms of Service (“Agreement”) of stutors.co.uk. The Agreement documents the legally binding terms and conditions attached to the use of the Site: stutors.co.uk.

By using or accessing stutors.co.uk in any way, viewing or browsing stutors.co.uk, or adding your own content to stutors.co.uk, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service. These are subject to change without notice and it is the responsibility of all users to make sure that they regularly check for such updates. Furthermore a users/visitor to the website (stutors.co.uk) is bound by the terms and conditions set herein.

Terms:

  • Tutor- Refers to a prospective or fully registered Tutor/Teacher
  • Tutee- Refers to a prospective Student /Tutee
  • Student- Refers to a prospective Student /Tutee
  • User: Refers to a prospective or fully registered Tutee or Tutor or visitor to stutors.co.uk

Intellectual Property

  1. The Site and all of its original content are the sole property of Stutors Ltd and are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate registration and other intellectual property rights laws.
  2. The Logo “Stutors” is a trade mark of Stutors Ltd. All copyrights, trademarks and content submitted on the website are the sole property of stutors.co.uk and cannot be reproduced without permission.

Refund, Termination and Cancellation 

  1. stutors.co.uk reserves the right to terminate your access to the Site, without any advance notice or refund if there is reason to believe that a users has violated the terms of service.
  2. If a registered user wishes to terminate their use of the website and its features, they must cancel their membership before the next payment date. Failure to do so will result in the membership being automatically re-newed and charged.
  3. Users are not entitled to a refund, partial or otherwise.

Miscellaneous Provisions

  1. stutors.co.uk reserves the right to amend the website and it features and may suspend the website for a period of time to make any adjustments or remove the website in its entirety without refunds to contracts.
  2. The basis of the website stutors.co.uk is to provide students/tutee the opportunity to contact a listed Tutor.
  3. stutors.co.uk is not responsible for the vetting or the legitimacy of any of the Listed/ Registered tutors and/or Students/Tutee on the website and therefore accepts no responsibility or liability.
  4. Users must pay full caution to listings made on the website as stutors.co.uk takes no responsibility nor has any involvement on the content made on such listings.
  5. It will be left to a users discretion to arrange a place, time, date and price of lessons and accepts no responsibility on lateness, cancellations or otherwise relating to such practices.
  6. The information gathered on the website for registration as well as any payment details will be held securely and will not be sold or passed on to any third parties.
  7. Registration and submission of content on the website must not be used to offend other users.
  8. Any disagreements made between a Tutee and a Tutor must be settle privately as stutors.co.uk will be not be held responsible nor is it liable to settle any such disputes. This could include but are not exclusive to disputes which may involve price, a tutee’s progression, personal goals, cancellation and periods of lateness.

Tutor

  1. A Tutor on subscription will accept the terms and conditions set herein on stutors.co.uk.
  2. A Tutor must provide information which is accurate so as not to deceive other users.
  3. A Tutor’s details will be made public to anyone searching the website and/or search engine so it is advised that details are limited so as not to pose any risk to personal information, for example only provide an email address and/or mobile and not a private address until a suitable tutee is found.
  4. A valid debit/credit card will be required when a membership subscription is made in order for a listing to appear. Once payment has cleared a tutor will be given full access to the “Tutor Profile Page” which will allow the Tutor to be displayed online.
  5. Tutors must get a Parent/Guardian’s consent for Tutee’s under the age of 18 before arranging a lesson.
  6. stutors.co.uk is not an employer of any Tutor and it is therefore each Tutor’s responsibility to pay their own taxes, National insurance contributions and any other monies owed as a result to any earnings gained from the use of this website and its services.
  7. stutors.co.uk does not guarantee that a suitable tutee will be found and therefore it remains the Tutors responsibility on their content to promote themselves.
  8. Upon registration Tutors must be made aware stutors.co.uk provides tutees with the option to make reviews. Whilst these reviews will be monitored as best as possible for bad language it should be noted that positive and negative reviews may be made.
  9. stutors.co.uk reserves the right to remove or extend the free trial membership period at its discretion.
  10. Photos used for a Tutors profile picture must be of their own. Pictures must not be of someone else’s nor shall they breech any copyrights associated with other companies. Any breech of this will result in the possible removal of a Tutors profile without prior notice and without any refund given.
  11. Prices quoted by Tutors have not been influenced or endorsed by stutors.co.uk and as such claims no responsibility on the pricing policy of a Tutor.

Student

  1. A student under 18 must take consent from a parent/Guardian before making any contact with a tutor.
  2. stutors.co.uk does not take responsibility for individuals who chose not to take parental consent and can not verify the legitimacy of individuals.
  3. Contacting a Tutor should be for valid reasons, such as arranging a lesson or asking about qualifications, contact should not be made to disturb or annoy a Tutor.

Reviews

  1. Reviews must be written by a tutee after a at least one lesson has taken place with the said Tutor for which the review is about.
  2. stutors.co.uk has no involvement in writing reviews on behalf of tutees or Tutors but does reserve the right to remove content if it breeches the privacy policy listed in the terms and conditions set herein.
  3. Reviews must be made impartially and should not be made by Tutors themselves or friends or family members who are not full paying clients so as to provide a fair way of feedback to other users.

Links to Other Websites

  1. Our Site may contain a number of links to other websites and online resources that are not owned or controlled by stutors.co.uk.
  2. stutors.co.uk has no control over, and therefore cannot assume responsibility for, the content or general practices of any of these third party sites and/or services.
  3. We strongly advise you to read the entire terms and conditions and privacy policy of any site that you visit as a result of following a link that is posted on our site.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom (UK).

Changes to This Agreement

  1. stutors.co.uk reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We do so by posting to the updated terms on the Site.
  2. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the Site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie policy listed on stutors.co.uk. Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, we ask and advise that you do not use or continue to access the stutors.co.uk site immediately.
